Prime Social will be helping to restock the shelves this January, as the holiday season comes to an end. In fact, Ante Up Magazine and Blue Shark Optics launched the Restock the Shelves initiative due to shortages at food pantries following the holidays. This year Prime Social will be participating and donating to the Houston Food Bank.
Back in November, Prime helped the Houston Food Bank and their partner, WHAM, by hosting a Full House Feast. Prime members and staff donated dozens of turkeys and hundreds of canned goods to make the drive a success. In the end, the turkey drive provided many holiday meals for local Houston families in need.
After the Full House Feast, Prime moved on to the 2nd annual “All In” Toy drive. Likewise, this too was a huge success. We were able to donate hundreds of toys to a variety of organizations. Notably, all of the toys were donated by generous members and Prime staff.
Prime’s Part
In order to participate, canned goods and monetary donations will be collected. Just like Full House Feast, members who bring in 5 or more canned goods get free daily entry! Additionally, bring in $20+ of canned goods with receipt for time match, no limit!
We’re not alone in this adventure. Poker venues across the nation are working to refill their local food pantries. Each venue has unique events, sharing the same goal. To restock the shelves. However, we’re the only venue participating in Texas!
