The 7th Annual Mansfield Ed Tessaro Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament is coming to Prime Social. The multi-state tournament presented by the 2020 ALS Texas Hold’em committee honors Ed Tessaro. Tessaro is a former Macy’s executive, philanthropist, and mountain climber. Since his diagnosis, he and his wife have become involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Together, they helped to raise more than $6 million for ALS treatments and research. In fact, Ed was one of the initial patients in the first U.S. ALS Stem Trial in 2010. He has been a role model of courage and dedication to those affected by the disease.

The Texas-sized charity event will benefit MDA Houston, home of Prime Social Poker Room. MDA supports medical research and leads the world in non-profit health agencies. MDA continues to explore and discover new treatments for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

The Houston based event is one of many regional tournaments taking place across the nation. The winner of the regional tournament at Prime will enjoy an all expense paid- trip to Atlanta, plus VIP entry in the Mansfield Cares Golf Classic. Rest easy before heading to the Final Table with accommodations at the luxury Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Players competing at the Final Table of the 7th Annual Ed Tessaro Texas Hold’em Poker tournament will be vying for $5,000 in cash and gold.
